Let's Start With My Floor Plan

Because somebody understood the assignment here.

Right inside my front door, glass French doors open to a true dedicated office. Work from home? Close the doors. Need a study? Done. Want one room where household paperwork doesn't migrate onto the kitchen counter? I support that too.

Across the way, I have something renters are constantly searching for: a first-floor bedroom with a full bath nearby.

That creates real flexibility for guests, extended stays, multigenerational living or simply having a bedroom separated from the rest of the household.

And Then There's My Kitchen...

Oh, we're going to need a minute here.

I have a huge granite island, gas cooking, stainless steel appliances, walk-in pantry and SO. MANY. CABINETS.

There's room to cook without playing kitchen Tetris. Room for somebody to sit at the island. Room for snacks, groceries, coffee, dinner prep and all the other things that somehow end up happening in the kitchen.

And because my floor plan is open, the kitchen flows straight into my dining and living areas with high ceilings, crown molding, natural light and a gas-log fireplace anchoring the room.

Basically, this is where everybody is going to end up anyway.

Screened Porch People, I See You

Open the back door and there I go showing off again.

Royal Creek also gives the neighborhood that residential-community feel with sidewalks, streetlights and a playground.

And when you get home? Pull into my rear-entry two-car garage, come inside, light the fireplace, spread out and exhale.
